Justice and Closure

It's funny to me how history goes on being rewritten.....  but even funnier when its your own!  You may have remembered one of my earlier posts about my law suit over the Enterprise D and how I foiled the greedy little plot to try and take away my Falcon project.....  If not click HERE    If there was any justice to prevail after loosing thousands of dollars in royalties it was that I was able to take my Falcon project and two other Star Wars related posters to completion with another company!

Here is the result....

Today as I was looking for some Star Wars related materials I ran across this article about the collapsed Brian Sauriol's project that was being financed via my Enterprise money.....  I remember the evening when this illustrator contacted me out of the blue to try and convince me that the law suit was ill advised....  I had always wondered why he would do such a thing... I knew of him but not of his plans with the same company that was in the process of defaulting on my dreams!

I first learned of his Falcon when I went to Miller Art Supplies and saw the original art being reframed... when I enquired as to who it was for... the final pieces of what was happening fell into place and I now understood his part in the story.

So reading the history behind his STORY is as fascinating as it is fictitious....  When they say hidden in a vault for two decades... they really mean his closet...  Sadly his piece of art is not a collectable as it is woefully incorrect in its interior layout.... and selling any printed version would be a poor purchase for a true fan....

Now it may seem like I has a case of sour grapes.... I guess thats true....  Loosing all of that money so early on in my career really had a huge impact on my life and my belief in others...Thankfully My brother and I went on to more and more success with our posters and I remind myself that karma is real and that some lessons come at a price....
